Welcome Grade 8
Your project will be to research and answer questions regarding personal finance. The topics are listed in the left pane. You are to create five groups, 3 to 5 members per group, to research one topic. Next to the topic below, type in the first names of your group members (no more than 5 members per group). If you cannot find a group or decide on a topic, one will be assigned to you. All submissions are to be posted on your respective topic page unless otherwise stated. At the end of your research, you will be expected to make a presentation to the class and answer their questions.

Project Overview

Go to the "Project Guidelines" page in the left pane and review the project requirements. The question to be answered is already on the topic page. Look over the "Glossary" page for terms that may pertain to your research. Use the "MLA Citation Style Guide" page to help you create properly annotated primary and secondary source citations. Research on your respective topics are to be posted on the topic page only and must include the following components (each component counts as a test grade)

:- Written Overview and Resolution : proper citations, name and date of submission
- Spreadsheets, Tables, Graphs and Charts : included in written submission, explanation of the graphics included
- Slide Show Presentation : proper citations, name and date of submission, photo images pertaining to your research
- Audio/Video Recording of your Research : Video or Audio podcast of your research

The manner in which to post each submission will be discussed in class. Each submission should be posted by the due date. Each submission will count as a test grade.

The "Resources" page lists various web sites you may go to find information regarding your topic in addition to what is already on the "Project Guidelines" page. Feel free to list any resources you are using on this page as well. Your classmates will benefit from it.

The "Glossary" page lists terms you may encounter during the course of your research. When you have the definitions, type it in next to the term. These will be worth up to 5 points towards your final grade, one point per term defined. General announcements and questions regarding your research can be posted in the "Discussion" tab above. Each student is to submit a response relevant to the discussion thread. Your responses will count as quiz grades. If you need my assistance outside of school hours, please feel free to email me or post a question in the discussion area.
